What If Fleet Air Arm A3D

Whereas the US Navy was able to have a strategic role in the 1950s thanks to the large war-built Midway class carriers and the new supercarriers of the Forrestal class, the Royal Navy had no big-deck postwar ships, and nuclear capability had to wait till the Blackburn Buccaneer became available in the early 1960s. For this what-if, I would postulate that the RN either finished some of the projected Malta class large wartime carriers, or built new big-deck ships able to operate aircraft of the A-3 class.
